Hello, my name is Allie Munro. I’m from a small town in southern Delaware. I love going to the beach, writing, painting, and especially reading books and watching movies. Everyone has certain books or films that they are interested in, but ever since I was young, I’ve felt I’ve lived for certain stories, and that passion grew into adulthood. I believe that good stories keep the childlike fires inside us alive, so I wanted to create this blog tokindle that fire and share my own thoughts on entertainment.

  The Greatest of These: A Study of 1 Corinthians 12-13 Many Christians view 1 Corinthians 13 as the “Love Chapter,” a poetic definition of love, to be read at weddings, but not much more beyond that. These chapters are beautiful and inspiring on their own, but reading them together provides a clearer picture of the chapters’ deeper meanings.  The beginning of chapter 12 speaks about the presence of “different gifts, but the same spirit” that distributes each spiritual discipline (v. 4). The chapter uses the analogy of the body of Christ and how “Just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ” (v. 12). Film Students' Reactions to "Shadowlands"

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, three Regent students gathered to watch “Shadowlands,” a film about C.S. Lewis’s life and his wife, Joy Davidman, for a class assignment. The movie highlights Lewis’s journey from academic detachment to discovering a deeper human connection and love. The screening event took place from 3:30 to 7:00 in a dorm room in Foundation Hall at Regent University. Both Allie Munro and Darija Villwock are enrolled in Film 110: Visual Storytelling and were required to analyze “Shadowlands” for its use of implicit narrative techniques as part of a discussion post. Sophie Webster, however, chose to join simply for fun and the community experience. Before the movie began, they shared their expectations for the movie to have a depressing tone, with Webster saying, “I’m pretty sure someone is going to die, so I think it’s going to be a sad movie,” while Villwock added, “I expect that I will probably cry at the end of this movie, but it will be good.” The group settled in ...

Amber Cove: Discovering the Rich History

Amber Cove, a major cruise hub on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, draws thousands of visitors each year with its waterfront shops, beaches, and both adult and family-friendly attractions, while also highlighting the region’s famed history of rare amber mining and its connection to the filming of the 1993 movie Jurassic Park. Since opening in 2015, the port has become a staple stop for Caribbean cruise itineraries, offering travelers both recreational activities and cultural insight. The name “Amber Cove” reflects the area’s reputation for producing some of the world’s rarest amber, which has long been mined in the surrounding mountains.
